Mike Buccerone is the president of East Coast Golf Management, a company that manages and markets 24 golf courses in North Carolina and South Carolina. Four of the courses have been awarded the title of ‘Myrtle Beach Golf Course of the Year”. He is also General Manager at Rivers Edge in Shallotte, North Carolina, a scenic and challenging course that has consistently received high ratings from Golf Digest

Buccerone is originally from New Jersey, where he developed a love for golf in high school. He would go on to receive a degree in business administration with a concentration in professional golf management. Mike’s golf career began at Wild Wing Plantation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where he progressed from intern in 1994 to the first assistant professional and merchandise manager in 2000. He then transferred to the renowned Broadmoor Golf Club in Colorado Springs, Colorado (a five-star, five-diamond resort), with the same dual role.

Mike returned to Myrtle Beach to become the Director of Golf at Grand Dunes Resort. While there, he won the PGA of America National Merchandiser of the Year Award.  In 2009, the National Golf Course Owners Association named Grand Dunes the National Golf Course of the Year.

Buccerone’s awards also include the 2008 PGA National Merchandiser of the Year and the 2012 South Carolina Employee of the Year.
