 Favorite Core Value: Perseverance

“To persevere is to remain constant to a purpose, idea, or task in spite of obstacles. The obstacles we all face can come from external sources, but many come from within ourselves. For me, perseverance is that spirit within that enables me to face disappointment, deal with the loss of a loved one, or fail to stay committed to my purpose, dreams, tasks, or duty. It is knowing that there is hope in staying committed to goodness.”

 On Mentoring:

“Mentoring means listening, asking questions that give insight to the young person, offering encouragement, and being the best role model that I can. Good mentoring requires The Nine Core Values and selfless service.”

“I met Gene at Thistle GC and he recruited me to raise money and awareness for the CSPYGF TFT through golf manufacturers. We became friends immediately through the love of golf, sports, family, reading, and US Navy experiences.”
